Generally speaking, many of Birthright's chapters have more simple objectives, like routing the enemy or defeating the enemy leader. Note that each path's difficulty can be set between Normal, Hard, and Lunatic - and difficulty can be lowered (but not raised) at any timeĬhoosing the Birthright path will have the player align themselves with Hoshido and Corrin's birth family (in a land reminiscent of Japan). An additional path (Revelation), choosing to ally with neither faction, will become available as DLC, also half the price of the full game (though you technically do not need to beat the game on either path to play it). Whichever base game is chosen, the other path can be purchased as DLC for half the price. Whether purchased physically or digitally, users will have to pick a side - either with their adopted family, the royal family of Nohr (Conquest), or with their birth family, the royal family of Hoshido (Birthright).
